What attracted me the most in Rita`s words is that Jiuzhaigou Valley every season has a different view and different colours 😮. Isn’t it amazing? How can someone choose which season is best to visit? Ok, the best would be to go every season, but yea. We can keep dreaming 😆. The other mention from Rita is that this place is a famous panda place, but she didn’t get the chance to see one. Maybe she missed the season. Word of advice Rita, you should go and visit another season as well.

Additional information – It is officially known as Jiuzhai Valley in English but is commonly translated as the Jiuzhaigou Valley. The Jiuzhai Valley means “the nine villages’ valley.” The 9 Tibetan Villages in Jiuzhaigou Valley are Heye, Jianpan, Yana, Panya, Guodu, Zechawa, Heijiao, Shuzheng and Rexi.
Another word for Jiuzhaigou Valley is “Natural Museum” for alpine karst hydrology, which is most famous.

Covering 72,000 ha in the northern part of Sichuan Province, the Jiuzhaigou valley preserves a series of important forest ecosystems including old-growth forests that provide important habitat for numerous threatened species of plants and animals, including the giant panda and takin.
Its colourful landscape of numerous shades-of-blue lakes, many multi-level waterfalls, snow-capped peaks and limestone terraces, with clear and mineral-rich waters, set in the spectacular alpine mountains with a highly diverse forest ecosystem, are demonstrating the remarkable natural beauty of the Jiuzhaigou Valley.

There are recorded

  • 223 species of birds
  • 170 vertebrate species
  • 10 animals
  • 2 kinds of fish

Shuzheng Waterfalls, are one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the Jiuzhaigou Valley. The Shuzheng Waterfall is 62 meters wide and fall of 15 meters. Although it may not seem very large, it is considered one of the most ferocious and thunderous. The sound, which echoes throughout the valley, is likened to the loudest roar of a tiger or lion.

It is classified as an AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration. Well, if this doesn’t sound attractive I don’t know what will make you visit the Jiuzhaigou Valley.😍
