The Journey Is The Reward

National park Icefield Parkway, Canada

Rob, Canada

On the road of Icefield Parkway which is leading from Jasper National Park continuing to Banff National Park, on its way Rob stopped to take a rest in a cafeteria, and the sentences with large letters written on the wall, “THE JOURNEY IS THE REWARD” made him deep thinking. And not only him, but until today, me as well 😮

Additional info – this road is quite famous in Canada and is a tourist attraction. Ideal place to travel, for walking or by car, full of glacial lakes, forests, waterfalls. The two national parks are connected with the Lake Louise, which is known for its cascading waterfalls and is rich with over 100 glaciers.

По патот Icefield Parkway кој води од националниот парк Jasper National Park кон Banff Националниот парк, Роб застанал да одмори во една кафетерија, а на ѕидот имало напишано со големи букви „ THE JOURNEY IS THE REWARD“ реченица што го замислил.

  1. “THE JOURNEY IS THE REWARD” : This reminds me of the poem “Ithaca” («Ιθάκη») by Constantine Cavafy.

When you set out on the journey to Ithaca,
pray that the road be long,
full of adventures, full of knowledge.
Ithaca gave you the wondrous voyage:
without her you’d never have set out.
